NYPALC COLLEGIATE SCHOLARSHIP
PALCUS Scholarship Opportunities
PALCUS offers several scholarships to support higher education:

PALCUS General Scholarship (Undergraduate)

PALCUS General Scholarship (Graduate)

Alexandre Antonio da Costa Simoes Memorial Scholarship – For students pursuing Portuguese studies.

Duque de Bragança Scholarship – For students demonstrating interest in Portuguese history.
Eligibility: Applicants must be enrolled full-time as undergraduate students (sophomore or higher) or graduate students at an accredited institution. High school seniors or incoming freshmen are not eligible.
Application Period: March 15 – July 31, 2025 (Deadline: July 31, 11:59 pm).

Grant Opportunities
Financial Support for Portuguese Associations
The Portuguese Government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the DGACCP, provides funding to Portuguese associations around the world.
Who Can Apply?

Portuguese community associations (nonprofit, legally established).

Federations of Portuguese communities.
-
Nonprofit entities with Portuguese members or activities benefiting Portuguese communities.
Eligible Projects

Promotion of Portuguese language and culture.

Integration and solidarity within Portuguese communities.

Civic participation, leadership training, and youth engagement.

Equality, anti-discrimination, and social inclusion initiatives.
Deadlines
-
March 15 – projects for the 2nd semester.

October 15 – projects for the 1st semester of the following year.

Up to 3 applications per year per association.
